Expectation

          This piece was inspired by thoughts regarding my plans for the future and the essential nature of the horse as a creature of flight.  To stay safe, the horse must always look to the horizon, vigilant even in rest, ready to run in an instant.  In that sense, we will never completely tame the horse. Its mind is always seeking a clear route of escape.  Expectation embodies that spirit of anticipation.  She is watchful and planning for whatever comes over the horizon.  The choice to stand her ground or run will always be her own.
